DECEMBER 28th, 2004:

VOTE NOW and get a complete bootleg for free

The next month(s) I want to upload a complete bootleg again. One year ago you could get here the entire 'Pussywhipped'-bootleg from 1985. Now I want to upload another full show!

I don't have enough webspace to upload an entire bootleg at once, so I will have to split it into 2 or 3 parts, just like last year. In January 2005 you will be able to download the first part of a complete S.O.D. show. In February I'll take down the first part and will upload part 2. And if it's a very long show, you will get part 3 in March 2005. After that you will have a full S.O.D. show.
Take a look at my list of special items (click here) and then vote (below). After you have voted, you can return to this newspage by clicking at the 'news'-button. You can only vote once. In Memory Of Dimebag Darrell (1966 - 2004)

Scott, Billy and Charlie have posted statements at their websites about the death of their friend Dimebag Darrell (ex- Pantera, Damageplan), who was shot in Al Rosa Villa, Columbus, Ohio while performing with his band Damageplan.

Scott Ian: "I am devastated as I'm sure we all are. All I can convey at this moment are my condolences to Rita and Vinnie and the whole family. My heart is with you.

PS - I'm stunned. I don't have words for this. My logical brain keeps trying to make sense of it. It's just horrible. Humanity is an oxymoron".

Billy Milano: "I can't express in words the sorrow I feel inside, not just for me but also for Vinnie, Rita, Darrels' parents his band mates and friends.
What I can express is how wonderful a person he truly was. Kind and gentle in nature, Care free and loving. I'm a lucky person to have known him as a friend. I want to spend this time remembering him in this spirit rather than dwelling on how he was taken from us or the person who did it. My heart bleeds for his loved ones".

Charlie Benante: "WHY??????

Dimebag brought the life out of everyone he met, why would anyone take his???? My phone has been ringing off the hook, everyone asking if it was true? I didn't want to accept the reality, HOW COULD DARRELL BE GONE? I just saw him! and just listened to the message he left me today.

I loved him, he was a true Friend. The phone calls in the middle of the night , talking about this and that. Playing KINGS X or KISS licks over the phone. I remember this one time we were both going through these anxiety attacks. I never had them, nor did he. We were talking about how we stopped them. I quit drinking alcohol and coffee and he said that he started drinking MORE ALCOHOL! HAHAHA, that was him. I had some great times with him, he always put you in a good mood, DAMMIT! What the fuck is wrong with people?? How the fuck does someone get into a club with a loaded gun, HOW?? WHY??

I thought for a minute about this - John Lennon was murdered the same way on the same DAY, some strange coincidence? (sorry, I'm delirious right now)

This guy didn't wait till after the show , he did it on stage. How fucking horrific. All those people freaking out, watching this happen. This will change things for the music world. It won't be the same vibe at shows... this is scary.

Dime was special, those who knew him would attest to that.... My heart goes out to Vinnie and Rita as well as the others who were injured.

Go play your PANTERA CDs or your Damage Plan CD. Remember him for his music and his guitar playing, he was the best!

MP3's of the Month December

A few weeks ago I got an e-mail from a guy who recorded 2 S.O.D. covers with his project 'Sonic Death Burger' and he asked me if I would be interested in hearing them.

Of course I was interested, so he sent me their versions of the S.O.D. classis 'United Forces' and 'Fuck The Middle East'. Sonic Death Burger is a side project of 2 musicians who record coversongs of various bands once in a while, just for fun. Their studio-versions of 'United Forces' and 'Fuck The Middle East' are the MP3's of this Month and are available for download here. I think they did a nice job.

NOVEMBER 25th, 2004:

Scott, Charlie and Dan together on stage again

It is rumoured that S.O.D. members Scott Ian, Charlie Benante and Dan Lilker will share the same stage again during an upcoming Anthrax tour.

Classic tracks
Anthrax recently released a CD with classic tracks from the pre-John Bush-era, called 'The Greater Of Two Evils'. The album was recorded 'live' in the studio over the course of 2 days. Covering their history from 1984 – 1990, THE GREATER OF TWO EVILS is made up of fourteen classic ANTHRAX songs the fans demanded by way of the thousands of votes from all over the world received on the band’s official website, anthrax.com. Based on those votes, the band entered Avatar studios in NYC and took a trip back in time to revisit songs from their releases Fistful Of Metal (1984), Spreading The Disease (1985), Among The Living (1987), State Of Euphoria (1988), and Persistence Of Time (1990).

Tour
Now Anthrax is getting former Anthrax vocalists Neil Turbin and Joe Belladonna back in the band for one tour. Dan Lilker, who played bass at the first Anthrax album 'Fistful Of Metal' and former guitarist Dan Spitz will also perform at this tour!

Time for an update. Every first day of the month you'll find here new livetracks from S.O.D.- or M.O.D. concerts.

Special items
My list of special items is still growing. It's getting harder to find concerts on CD that I don't have yet, but recently I got a couple of concerts on videotape. You can find them here. So, now I'm also collecting S.O.D.- and M.O.D. concerts on video as well. If you have something that is not on any of my lists yet, feel free to contact me. Maybe we can work out a trade.

MP3's of November
For those of you who don't have any S.O.D.- or M.O.D. liveconcerts at all, I have uploaded a couple of new MP3's. S.O.D. played at the Ritz in December 1985. This concert was filmed, but the first part is missing. The guy who was supposed to film S.O.D., thought that the Cro-Mags were performing at that time. It was only after a few songs that he noticed that this was S.O.D. They had already played 6 songs when he started taping the concert. I have converted 3 songs from video to MP3. I also deleted some files for the first time since I started uploading MP3's. There's not enough webspace to keep all these files online. So, from now on I will remove some old files every month. What has gone?

MP3 of the Month and interview with Billy

This month M.O.D. will re-release 2 of their albums; 'Devolution' and 'Dictated Aggression'. That's why I picked an M.O.D. concert from 1994, from the Devolution-tour for the MP3's of this Month!

M.O.D./Interview
Dictated Aggression and Devolution will be re-released October 26. Billy will give us more info on these releases in an interview I did with him. I also asked him questions about the videoclip for 'Wigga', his move to Texas, the forthcoming S.O.D. live DVD and CD and more. This interview will be online soon!

Because 2 M.O.D. albums will be re-released, I decided to upload 4 M.O.D. livetracks this month, from the tour that M.O.D. did for Devolution. You will find them here.
